When exam time approaches, anxiety, stress and fear of failure are some of the common feelings faced by most students in the UK. As panic levels start to rise, concentration starts falling and memory is adversely affected. Read on the following tips to beat exam blues and excel instead:

Stay calm: it is natural to get overly stressed when you see the exam paper. It is important to close your eyes and relax for a minute before you start solving the paper. This will help you recollect the answers and write in a calm and composed manner.

Take your time: Some students get panicked when they look at other students answering questions at the speed of light. It is important to take your time while writing the answers and ensure that you have reviewed each question before you submit your paper.

Smart studying is important: if you are participating in a tough or a challenging exam, it is natural to have less time and more syllabus. The only way to combat this problem is to study in a systematic and smart manner and prioritize all the elements of the syllabus.

Exercise is healthy: You might feel like being locked up in your room before the exams and not going out at all. However, it is nice to get some fresh air and exercise a little a day or two before your examination. Oxygen helps your brain, memory and concentration.

Don’t memorise, understand the basics: if you want to do well in competitive exams, you can’t just memorise the answers. You must comprehend the subject and the fundamentals so that you can apply it to the most complex questions and excel in your paper.

Exams can be stressful for students as the pressure of performing well is always high. It is important to eat well, sleep well and lead a normal life during exams so that you can concentrate during the paper and excel with flying colours.

If you have decided to take up an e-learning course, you will find countless options online and it might seem like a daunting task to select the most appropriate course as per your need. Follow these steps to pick the right kind of bespoke training that will elevate your e-learning experience:

Determine your learning objectives

You must have a clear set of objectives to be able to pick the right course. Whether it is soft-skills, IT skills, financial skills or marketing skills; have the basics ready so that you can narrow your search and make the right choice.

Review the key providers:

Do a research of the companies that provide learning solutions for he subject you are interested in. The reputation of the company is crucial while making the choice. Pick someone with high quality learning resources and a proven track record.

Preview the content:

Check out the current content of the e-learning course. Is it fun and interesting? Is it something you would like to pursue? Does it raise your curiosity and make you want to know more? If your answers are yes, it might be a good idea to go ahead.

Check for user-friendly learning experience:

A good e-learning provider will showcase good, well-written and memorable interactions that will be enjoyable for the student. Quality e-learning involves easy to digest material and ways to retain the knowledge learned online.

Look for responsive design:

Pick a provider that has responsive e-learning design so that you can access the content on your smart phones and tablets as well. This means you are ready to learn on-the-go as well!

E-learning courses must be easy-to-use, delivering content in flexible formats and they must be easy to adapt as per individual styles. The quality of the courses can vary greatly and therefore, it is important to analyse all the aspects before you make the big decision.
